Hot off the Press: Next steps for assessing ocean iron fertilization for mCDR
On Monday September 9th, 2024 a new paper was published in Frontiers: Climate: Next steps for assessing ocean iron fertilization for marine carbon dioxide removal. This important paper is a collaboration by ocean scientists across many ocean-related specialties who are members of ExOIS, Exploring Ocean Iron Solution group who endorse and are planning for an experiment to test the efficacy of ocean iron fertilization as a method for marine carbon dioxide removal (mCDR).
This is the first time in over a decade that the marine scientific community has come together to endorse a research plan for ocean iron and mCDR. Read the full press release HERE: https://www.whoi.edu/press-room/news-release/exois-project/
