A December 5 editorial in the Enterprise about the decommissioning of the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station made the case that there are still big questions about Holtec’s assertion that the release of radioactive wastewater into Cape Cod Bay is the best choice in the process of decommissioning the plant. The article highlighted Holtec’s poor track record with safety violations and ended by asking for more data about what is in the wastewater and what is now entering the air via the intentional evaporation of this wastewater.
